Disability Access Bridgeways Dental

Bridgeways Dental is situated in a converted residential premises and therefore does not have the capacity to adapt for full disabled access. We have considered adaptions and improvements where possible, and can provide the following information:

  • We have a portable ramp that can be placed over the door threshold to the practice. A small step does remain so may not be suitable for patients in a wheelchair.
  • There are no designated disabled parking bays at the practice; however, we do have a bay within 3m of the front door to the practice.
  • There is one patient toilet. Due to space constraints within the practice, it is not large enough for a wheelchair to turn around, however there is a wall mounted handle for increased support where needed.
  • The weight limit for our dental chairs is 125kg.
  • We have a hearing loop for patients with hearing aids.
  • Treatment plans are viewed on a digital tablet which can enlarge the text if required.

If you have any questions about access to or within the practice, please contact us prior to your appointment. We will do all we can to assist patients to access our services, so please do let us know of your needs and we will do our best to accommodate you. If we are unfortunately unable to support you, we will endeavour to help you to find a service that can.
